Adult Residential Communities welcomes individuals seeking support for behavioral health challenges. ARC admissions policies and procedures affirm that the program does not discriminate or deny admission based on ethnic group identification, national origin, religion, age, race, color, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We are committed to creating a welcoming and safe environment for individuals from all backgrounds. To be eligible for admission, individuals must be 18 years or older, male, and willing to participate in a structured housing program.

Admissions Process

Pre-intake

Adult Residential Communities admissions process begins with a comprehensive pre-intake assessment over the telephone, where personal questions are asked to understand an individual's particular needs, short- and long-term goals, and medical history.

Funding

Now that we've determined you're a good fit for Adult Residential Communities, it's time to secure funding. Prospective residents, family and/or referral sources are expected to arrange funding prior to admission. We require a one-time admissions fee of $200.00, in addition to two weeks of program fee in order to be admitted into our program. Our program fee ranges from $180.00 to $205.00 on a weekly basis OR $700.00 to $800.00 on a monthly basis. We also offer RESPITE Scholarship for individuals facing financial barriers.

Intake

The intake phase marks the first official meeting with an Adult Residential Communities Intake Specialist at our Admissions Office, during which all necessary paperwork is completed, and the individual is formally enrolled in our recovery program. If you are a self-funded resident, initial payment is due at this time.

Placement

To assist with placement, ARC Network offers free transportation from our Admissions Office to the designated recovery residence, where the new arrival is introduced to members of the home and the house manager.

Resident Bill of Rights

The right to confidentiality as provided for in Title 42, Code of Federal Regulations, Part 2; and Title 45, Parts 160 & 164.

To get information from our program of the procedures to file a grievance or to appeal an early discharge from program.

To be placed in a safe, healthful group environment.

To be free from verbal, emotional, physical abuse, and/or inappropriate sexual behavior.

To be given dignity in contact with staff. Our commitment to dignity extends to all aspects of our program.

To express personal preference regarding case manager, counselor or any other service personnel.

To have access to review his records, and have the opportunity to request a correction to personal records, if appropriate; and to receive a copy of the said records within 30 days of a written request.

To be free from discrimination based on ethnicity, gender, religion, age, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or disability.

To have the freedom to attend religious services or activities of his or her choice and to have visits from a spiritual advisor– provided that these services or activities do not conflict with facility program requirements. Participation in religious services is of course, a personal choice.

Behavioral Health Residence Rules, Curfews, and Staff Support

The structure of our residences include a live-in Program Manager to help residents maintain a curfew, follow the house rules and participate in various support groups.

Residents are responsible for daily chores to maintain the household which include cooking and cleaning. They must agree not to bring drugs or alcohol into the house and are required to attend self-help groups.

How do I apply?

Prospective residents are encouraged to apply online. Our Admissions Specialist will review your background, medical history, and goals, then work with our Management Team to find the best residence for you. In addition, prospective residents are welcome to stop by our office at 1231 NE 15th Avenue Fort Lauderdale, Florida from Monday through Friday 9AM to 5PM to speak with an admissions specialist. What funding is available?

Adult Residential Communities offers the RESPITE Scholarship, a Broward County initiative, which can only be applied for through a Broward County Behavioral Health Provider Peer Specialist or case manager. This scholarship helps individuals with mental health diagnoses overcome financial obstacles to join our community. Eligible referrals must also demonstrate a commitment to case management and lack sufficient financial resources. A credentialed provider member may contact our admissions team for the application, or an individual wishing to apply for the scholarship may contact our admissions team to be linked with a provider.

How much is the program fee?

Our program fee ranges anywhere from $180.00 to $205.00 per week, with a one-time processing fee of $200.00 due at move-in. Our monthly program fee ranges anywhere from $700.00 to $800.00 per month - as a discount is provided for monthly accounts.

The first payment must be made with a money order or cashier's check at time of admission and we require at least two weeks program fee and $200.00 processing fee to be paid at time of admission.

How do I pay my program fee?

Program fees can be paid online via the ARC Resident Portal using a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit/debit card (2.95% convenience fee per transaction), OR with cash using the PayNearMe system at any CVS, 7-Eleven, or WalMart nationwide. What if I need a barcode for cash payments?

Log in to your Resident Portal, pick one up from the main office, or call the Resident Accounts & Billing Office at 954-900-9980 ext 2 Monday-Friday 9:00AM to 5:00PM to have one sent to your phone or email.

How do I set up my Resident Portal account?

Submit your email address to Adult Residential Communities. We will send you an invitation to set up your account. If you don't have an email address, you must use the PayNearMe system for payments.
